Healthy Morning Habits

The morning is a crucial time to fit in some healthy habits because they will help set the tone for the rest of the day.

Accomplishing something and getting yourself in a good mindset before even getting to work helps keep the productivity wheel spinning. Once you’re on that train you’re motivated to keep going because it feels so good!

Your brain is also the most alert in the morning and there tends to be fewer distractions. As your day continues, more tasks usually pop up that requires you to prioritize differently than you normally would need to first thing in the morning.

In this weeks video I share 5 healthy morning habits you can start implementing into your daily routine to make you feel more energized and pumped for the day ahead.

5 Healthy Morning Habits to do Before Work

Healthy habit #1: Wake up early

Waking up early allows you time to get ready for your day without rushing. When you wake up in a rush it’s hard to bring yourself down from that, and you can end up feeling more scattered and unorganized for the rest of the day. Healthy habit #2: Move your body

There are so many benefits to working out in the morning. For one, it wakes you up and gets you energized to start your day. You’ll also be less likely to make up excuses not to exercise later on. It doesn’t have to be a crazy hardcore workout. It could literally just be a 10-minute yoga session or a walk around the block – just something to get your body moving and your blood pumping.

Healthy habit #3: Sit and eat a healthy breakfast

People are in such a rush these days that eating properly in the morning is something they tend to sacrifice. And I’m sorry but a coffee just isn’t going to cut it! To feel at your best all day long it’s important to get in the habit of eating breakfast. Even more so – be mindful while you’re eating and actually sit and enjoy your breakfast without shoving it down your throat in a hurry. It will help you feel more relaxed and calm as you enter the day ahead. If you do find yourself rushed for time, plan ahead and prepare something the night before. That way you’re still able to properly nourish your body.

Healthy habit #4: Visualize your day

A healthy habit to get into is setting some time aside in the morning to visualize your day. When you have a better idea of what your day looks like and how it’s going to flow, you can enter it with more ease. Sometimes if there is a lot on our to-do list we feel overwhelmed and end up feeling that way the entire day. When you’re able to sit and see how your day is structured you feel calmer and realize there’s not as much to stress about like you originally thought.

Healthy habit #5: Listen to music

Find some music that helps pump you up – or calms you down! Music has the ability to shift your state, so play something that gets you in the right mindset for your day.
