“I’m Boring”: The Story I’ve Been Telling Myself for 15 Years

I'm Boring

I’m Boring

We’ve all developed stories about ourselves we don’t realize are playing in the back of our minds a lot of the time.

For me one of the stories I recently discovered I was telling myself was that I’m boring.

Something happened 15 years ago that made me believe this about myself. I didn’t realize until recently how much it truly affected my level of confidence all these years.

We hold onto so many different emotions certain experiences give us. Until we choose to face them head on, those emotions stay buried in our subconscious.

I’m hoping the story I share with you this week will help you uncover stories you’ve been telling yourself that are holding you back from going after the things you truly want in life.

How to Achieve Success in The New Year

How to Achieve Success in the New Year

How to Achieve Success in the New Year

Before thinking about what goals you want to achieve in 2017, it’s important to reflect back on this past year. Ask yourself what worked, what didn’t work, and what you’re proud of. You will find it really beneficial to give yourself a baseline to work from before setting new goals for the year to come.

When I think back on this past year I’ve come up with what I call the 3 c’s. For me this year has been about connecting, creating and consciously evolving.

If you could pick a few words to sum up your year what would they be and why?

Maybe you’ll start to notice themes or patterns around how this year has unfolded for you.

In this weeks video I encourage you to take a trip down memory lane. I also share how I’ve gotten myself to a place where I’m able to consistently make each year bigger and better. There’s no reason why you can’t do the same!

How to Accept New Holiday Traditions

How to Accept New Holiday Traditions

How to Accept New Holiday Traditions

Do the holidays look a little different for you this year? I know for me it does. My sister usually hosts Christmas at her place but this year they’re taking a family trip to the Bahamas. I know, totally not fair!

With my other sister at her in-laws that just leaves my mom and I. So this year we decided we’re going to spend it with our extended family. Something we haven’t done since I was a little girl still writing letters to Santa.

It’s definitely going to feel a bit different and I’ll miss the rest of my family, but I’m excited because I also think it will be a lot of fun!

I know for many people it can be challenging to accept change on the most magical day of the year. However, I’m here to tell you that despite your kids creating new traditions of their own, spending it at the in-laws or traveling somewhere else, it’s still entirely possible to make December 25th feel as special as always. Just keep these tips in mind!

The Secret Behind How These Ladies Became Dancers For Beyonce and Janet Jackson

Dancers Kim Gingras and Mel Mah

Dancers Kim Gingras and Mel Mah

I met dancers Kim Gingras and Mel Mah 7 years ago when they auditioned for ‘So You Think You Can Dance Canada.” As a TV Producer I had the pleasure of interviewing them backstage after they wowed Canada with their amazing moves.

I’m in such awe of these ladies and what they have accomplished since the show.

Kim and Mel became best friends during the show. Right after ‘So You Think You Can Dance Canada’, they took a giant leap and moved to L.A. Both of them were on a mission to become full-time professional dancers. Kim had a dream of one day dancing for Beyonce and Mel had her sights set on working with Janet Jackson.

Their motivation and persistence paid off and they both accomplished their big goal!

In my interview with these ladies they share the ups and downs of their journey, how they pushed through and how anyone can achieve their goals with the right mindset.

They’ve learned so much from their experiences that they decided it’s time to now help others. So they created an empowerment workshop called ‘You Got This, Girl’ that is dedicated to educating and inspiring young females.

There is so much goodness in this interview and I’m so excited for you to watch!

The Real Reason You’re Not Achieving Your Goals

The Real Reason You're Not Achieving Your Goals

The Real Reason You’re Not Achieving Your Goals

I’ve worked with many people when it comes to setting and achieving goals and I’ve learned it’s not as easy as ABC. There are so many factors when it comes to goal setting. A lot of them we don’t tend to be aware of.

As we get closer to the New Year and start setting new resolutions, it’s important to keep these tips in mind.

When we first think of goal setting we typically look at the big picture and then figure out the smaller action steps we need to take to get there. It’s not as simple as that. Even knowing your “why” or your intention may not always be enough.

The real reason you may not be achieving your goals is because you didn’t do enough work around initially setting the goal in the first place. If you truly want to make changes in your life, the first action step you need to take is doing work around your limiting beliefs. Those unconscious beliefs easily creep into our ability to reach our goals.

Check out this weeks video to learn more about how to go after what you really want in life.
