How to Get People to Notice You

How to get people to notice you

How to get people to notice you

This past year I’ve learned a really big lesson when it comes to getting people to notice me.

For about 9 years I became quite quiet and really comfortable doing the same thing day after day. At the same time I also felt frustrated because nothing was changing in my life. Now I realize how small I was keeping myself. I was afraid to take more initiative or risks because I was afraid I would fail. I just assumed people knew what I was good at and when the time was right opportunities would just come my way.

Let me tell you – that kind of thinking rarely gets you anywhere! If you want more out of life and people to notice you, you have to find ways to create opportunities for yourself.

It’s important to realize Prince Charming isn’t just going to fall from the sky, or that job isn’t just going to magically appear in front of you. You need to take action and put yourself out there!

Reach Your Full Potential: The #1 Question to Ask Yourself

Reach Your Full Potential

Reach Your Full Potential

We’re all striving to reach our full potential. Why else would we beat ourselves up, not feel we’re good enough, or keep wondering what else is out there? I think where most of us get stuck is not knowing what the next step is. Or that the next step is a risky one.

Our fears get in the way a lot. The thoughts that enter our mind when we think about taking a risk, tend to revolve around the worst case scenario. These thoughts keep us from making any big changes in our life.

It’s funny because even when we try to pump ourselves up, we tend to ask ourselves “what’s the worst that can happen?” At the end of the day we’re still coming from a really negative place.

As I was heading to teach one of my fitness classes last week, I saw something that hit me hard. I came across a massive ad plastered all over the walls in one of the subway stations. It had a giant tag line that will really change the way you look at your life! Apparently you can learn a thing or two from advertisements!

If you truly want to start living up to your full potential, start using the question I’m about to share with you in this weeks video.

How to Comfort Someone Going Through a Tough Time

How to Comfort Someone Going Through a Tough Time

How to Comfort Someone Going Through a Tough Time

For many people it can be challenging to comfort someone going through a tough time. It’s common for a lot of people to shy away from emotional situations because they feel awkward or uncomfortable. A lot of the time they don’t know what to say, worry about doing the wrong thing or they want to fix it but don’t know how.

A few weeks ago I went through a rough time. Within the span of 5 days a relationship ended, I got sick and a friend of mine passed away in a car accident. It’s been awhile since I’ve felt that drained emotionally, mentally and physically and craved real emotional support.

It’s not always easy being vulnerable and talking about the hard things you’re going through and how you’re feeling. However, I also started to realize how difficult it can be for others on the receiving end of it.

Stop Psyching Yourself Out

Stop Psyching Yourself Out

Stop Psyching Yourself Out

As human beings we’re really good at psyching ourselves out. We’re so good at making up stories. Stories we actually start to believe without any real proof.

I recently spent a couple months in New York. When I was first thinking about going I started to actually freak myself out a bit. I started picturing myself there and even though it felt exciting, I was also working myself into a bit of a tizzy!  Thinking about how to navigate my way through a new city, meet new people and attend events where I didn’t know anyone all of a sudden made me question if going was such a great idea.

I knew in my gut it was something I had to do and I’m so glad I did! I met such amazing people, had unforgettable experiences and I grew in a way I never imagined. It was a perfect reminder that things are never as scary as we anticipate them to be.

As you watch this weeks video I want you to start thinking of times in your life when you went ahead and did something outside your comfort zone regardless of how freaked out you felt.
