How to Gain Clarity in Your Life

How to gain clarity in your life

How to gain clarity in your life

A common theme I hear quite often from people is they lack clarity in their life. Whether it’s to do with their job or in their relationships.

I’ve discovered a few reasons why people struggle so much with this.

For one, people don’t take time to really reflect on their life and think about what they really want in the first place. Deep down they don’t believe they’ll ever discover what it is they truly want so they don’t really bother trying to even figure it out. It’s also challenging for many people to wrap their head around the concept that life is a journey. These days people want answers and they want them now. We don’t have patience with ourselves to venture down that self discovery road. It seems easier just to live each day out – but are you really living if you aren’t truly happy? Is it too much work that you would rather just settle?

There’s also a lot of fear and limiting beliefs that get in the way. If you don’t feel its even possible, then you’re right – it isn’t. But what if it is? You never know unless you open yourself up to the possibilities.

The Life Map is a program that really helps give people clarity about their lives by understanding how their past has shaped them and what fears and limiting beliefs are blocking them for seeing what it really is that they want in life.

Recently I hosted a retreat in Costa Rica where I had the opportunity to take a group of women through the Life Map Program. It was amazing to see the transformations that took place and how they released so many roadblocks!

Check out this weeks video to hear how the Life Map has helped guide these ladies forward.

Making the Impossible Possible: The Soul Adventure Retreat 2017

Life is funny sometimes. I actually catch myself laughing out loud at times when I’m able to witness how seamlessly things fall into place. When I’m able to see clearly how certain things are meant to come together. Lately, I’ve been chuckling at how the first retreat I co-hosted actually became a reality.

About a year ago I received a message on Instagram from a girl I had never met. Her name is Sarah, and she lives on a farm in Costa Rica. She reached out saying she really wanted to host a retreat and was looking for the perfect co-host. I felt so honoured that I had made the cut! After a couple Skype calls we both had a really good feeling about working together and decided to move forward with the planning.

Over the past year we worked at getting all the pieces in place. There were some people I know who were skeptical about us pulling this off, and I’m not going to lie – sometimes I felt that way to. The whole ‘who am I to do something like this’ complex kept creeping in. But when you have a partner to help keep you motivated and accountable it helps!

When we got our first booking that’s when everything started to feel real. The panic we felt was also very real because now we had to make sure we could get enough ladies to come! Luckily everything flowed into place and I truly believe it’s because this retreat was definitely meant to happen.

The bonds that were made, the transformations that took place, and the adventures we embarked on created an unforgettable experience.

Without knowing it, these ladies also gave me a gift. Without them I wouldn’t have known what I’m truly capable of. I wouldn’t have discovered my full potential and realize there’s a leader inside of me that’s been squirming to get out. I want to thank each one of them for their amazing energy and being so open to letting me teach them my Life Map program.

I’m super excited to share the video I created of The Soul Adventure Retreat 2017! I know this is just the beginning of something truly amazing, and I can’t wait to announce the next adventure!

How to Bounce Back From Major Disappointment

How to Bounce Back From Major Disappointment

How to Bounce Back From Major Disappointment

This weeks video is a tough one for me to share. In fact, part of me kinda wants to throw up a little bit knowing anyone can watch it. I decided to open up and be super vulnerable about a couple major disappointments that have happened lately. I wanted to talk about them because I know at the end of the day we’ve all been there. And it’s important to know we’re not alone! I did this video in one take, with no rehearsal or editing cuts. I just wanted it to be as real as possible. It’s not perfect, but what is perfect anyways?

I’ve learned A LOT the past few months by going through some really challenging experiences. I can honestly say it is true that you grow the most from the hardest times in life…and man, I feel like I’ve grown 10 more inches lately!

If you can relate to this video I would LOVE to hear from you. It’s important we stick together through these times. It honestly helps so much when you have awesome passengers by your side!

Benefits of Creating Your Life Map

Your Life Map

Your Life Map

This past year has been all about throwing myself 100% into building a life and business I love. Let’s call it #theyearofsharon2.0! The only problem was I realized I wasn’t really sharing the full story of who I am and creating a business that reached the deepest part of my core. At the end of the day I’m a small town girl from Muskoka who loves adventure, dreaming big and helping others do the same.

I had a huge epiphany this past spring and realized it was time to own my story and create something that will help people own theirs. I’ve developed a coaching concept called your Life Map. Every time I talk about it I can’t help but smile and I’m so excited to share this new vision with you!

The Life Map is a tool designed to help you move forward towards a new destination, to help get you unstuck and build your self-awareness so you can make choices that feel good. Its purpose is to bring you clarity on how you’ve ended up on the road you’re currently on, and how previous experiences, events and people have shaped your belief system, values and self worth. The key is to uncover how certain patterns and choices have taken you off course and how certain passengers and backseat drivers have played a huge role in guiding or distracting you from your purpose. I’ve also created specific programs that will allow you to create your very own Life Map! Think of it as going on a road trip with me as your guide!

Feel confident meeting new people

Feel confident meeting new people

I know how intimidating it can feel to be at an event or a party and not know anyone. It’s easy to feel awkward, or out of place and can be really challenging to start a conversation with someone you don’t know, especially if you’re more of an introvert. I have been in this situation so many times and I sometimes still need to give myself a bit of a pep talk before entering new territory!

It’s normal to feel a little anxious in this situation, but it’s important you don’t avoid these outings out of pure fear because it’s just going to make it harder the next time. The more you do something the more confident you become. That goes for anything – even meeting new people. Once you get in the groove of it you’ll notice a huge change in your confidence. It just takes a bit of time to work up to it.

Check out this weeks video to find out what’s worked for me when it comes to meeting new people and see if you can start working these tips into your own social life.

Why Going to NYC Feels Like the Best Idea Ever!

NYC

NYC

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve wanted to live in NYC. I wrote about it in my journal and day dreamed about it constantly. I wanted to attend Juilliard so badly I even had them mail me an info package so I could try and plan out how exactly I was going to make it happen. Let’s just say between the tuition costs and my acting background it didn’t quite happen.

My dream may not have happened exactly how I envisioned it, but I’m really excited to say that I just booked a ticket to NYC without knowing exactly when I’m coming back. The timing couldn’t be more perfect right now and everything flowed into place with such ease. That’s when you know it’s right.

I’ve been trying to focus more on allowing things to flow in my life instead of forcing them. Forcing something to happen never feels good, and it usually never turns out how you envisioned it. This week I take a look at different times in my life that felt forced vs. when it just flowed.

Is there something in your life you’re trying to force right now? Ask yourself how well that’s working for ya.

My Struggle with Having Patience – How I’ve Learned to Chill Out 2

My struggle with patience

My struggle with patience

Ever since I was a kid I’ve been known to be quite determined. When I have my mind set on something there’s no looking back. I throw everything I have into making it happen. Some might call it stubborn, but I believe if it feels right and I’m not hurting myself or anyone else, it’s considered determination.

As many benefits as there are to having a determined mindset, there is one thing I’ve always struggled with – patience! The lack of patience I have tends to produce a lot of anxiety. I have such a vision of where I want to be, but I struggle with the patience to get there. I tend to want it all, and want it now!

Becoming an entrepreneur has really tested my patience, and I realized I needed to create a system that will help me stay more present and enjoy the process. Trust Your Gut – 3 Signs to Watch out for 1

Trust Your Gut

Trust Your Gut

That constant battle between our head and our gut is a tough one to navigate. There are times when we’re faced with a decision and logically we know what makes sense. The only problem is it just doesn’t feel right. That feeling is your intuition and it’s trying to tell you something.

There are many times we choose to ignore this feeling because it seems risky. There’s no solid evidence telling us this is the right move to make. However, most of the time when we choose not to listen to our intuition we end up wishing we had. To help you gain more confidence in trusting your gut, check out my 3 signs you should pay close attention to in this weeks video.

Boost Your Self Confidence

Self Confidence

Self Confidence

Confidence is one of those topics I LOVE talking about! It’s something most of us are always striving to find more of, and even though we know what confidence means and looks like, sometimes we still struggle to implement strategies to achieve it for ourselves.

It’s important to understand that there are different levels of confidence. The first is surface level confidence. This is where you appear confident on the outside but don’t necessarily feel it on the inside. This is where the classic phrase “fake it till you make it” comes in. It’s not necessarily a bad thing because sometimes by faking it we’re allowing ourselves to learn and get more comfortable in a situation. Once you get more comfortable with something you will start to notice your confidence naturally increase.

To be truly confident in who you are from a deeper standpoint, it’s important to work on what’s called your core confidence. This takes constant work and requires you to be patient with yourself. You didn’t enter this world without confidence. Somewhere down the line it’s been stripped from you – it’s mainly due to people judging you, reacting to you in a negative way, or making assumptions about you. These hurtful experiences are now etched into your own personal blueprint without you even possibly realizing.

There is one thing you need to be aware of before you can truly start working on building your core confidence and I share just what that is in this weeks video 🙂

How to Let go of the Past

How to let go of the past

How to let go of the past

We can be so freaking hard on ourselves sometimes! I’m sure there’s been a time in your life when you’ve done something you regret. Maybe you wish you had said something different or reacted differently in a situation. It’s easy to beat ourselves up after the fact, but it’s really important for your own mental health that you find a way to let it go and forgive yourself.

When we hold onto mistakes we remain stuck and end up staying on this wheel of regret which feeds our fears and insecurities. It’s important to acknowledge what you learned from the experience so when you’re faced with a similar situation you know exactly how you would handle it.

The past is the past and all you can do is learn from it, let it go and allow yourself to grow. It can be the most painful experiences that really force us to make changes in our thoughts and behaviours – but without those experiences we wouldn’t have the opportunity to learn how to be the best version of ourselves.

I hope this weeks video helps to shift your perspective about regrets and allows you to let go of the past and focus on who you want to be as you move forward towards a really fulfilling life!

How to Say NO! 3

say no

Say NO

What do you mean? Oooh
When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean? Heeey

I never thought I would quote Justin Bieber but there’s a first for everything!

I know a lot of people who have trouble spitting out the ‘N’ word. I believe many of us struggle with this because we’re people pleasers. We want to make sure everyone else is happy – even at our own expense. There is also a lot of guilt that comes up for many of us when we say no.

It’s important to learn how to stand your ground, because saying yes all the time when you wanna say no can cause you a lot of unnecessary stress! It also builds a lot of resentment towards other people when it’s really an internal issue you need to work on yourself. You shouldn’t blame other people for making you feel like you should say yes – that decision is fully on you and you need to work through why it’s so difficult for you to be honest about what you really want.

Being truthful and saying no actually shows a lot of confidence, and people will respect you more for staying true to who you are and what you want. People will likely be even more drawn to you because confidence is an attractive quality to have.

In this weeks video I give you some new perspectives to think about that will help you feel good about saying no! Check it out 🙂
